How to Customize Email Templates?

Billed includes the email templates that help the users to improve the customers’ experience. You can customize the subject and body of your email for your customers. So, use different customization options to facilitate your communication process with your customers.

Access the email templates by using the following steps:

  1. Click on “Settings” from the left menu.
  2. Now. click “Email Templates” to view this section.

Once you have approached the “Email Templates” folder, you will see the following customization options:

  • Record Payment: This email template is used when the payment is recorded against any invoice.
  • New Recurring Profile(Manual): It is used when a recurring invoicing profile is manually issued against an account.
  • New Recurring Profile(Stripe): When a recurring invoicing profile is issued against an account, you can ask for an invoice subscription through this email template.
  • Invoice Reminder: This email template can be customized and used when an invoice is due for payment. 
  • New Invoice: When a new invoice is issued on any account for the first time.
  • Thank You: This template is used to thank the clients for making the entire payment against any invoice.
  • New Estimate: It is used when a new estimate is created.
  • Credit Note: This template is used to ask for reviewing the credit note when it is sent. 
  • Late Payment Reminder: This template is used when you have to remind the clients about the past due invoice.
  • Recurring Invoices: When an invoice is generated against a recurring profile.

Customize

Each email template is customizable. Whenever you want to edit any email template, follow these steps:

  • Click on the “Customize” option in front of the concerned email template.
  • Edit the text as per your requirements.
  • Finally, click on the “Save” button to save the edited version of the email template.

Dynamic Variables

While viewing any email template, click on the text to view the dynamic variable on the right side of the screen. These dynamic variables are replaced by new details. 

For Example: {{Invoice number}} This variable will be replaced every time by the new invoice number.
